The Electricity Authority of Cyprus once again urges consumers to restrict their use of electricity to only the most essential appliances.

This morning’s load demand is considerably grater than expected. As a result a reduction in demand is urgent.

The public is requested not to use airconditioning units at all. As for washing machines, dryers and electric irons, we urge that these are used after 10pm.  

We once again ask all consumers, private individuals or otherwise, to understand the severity of the situation and we repeat our request for the greatest possible energy saving on the part of everyone.
