Islandwide Faults Reporting Centre (IFRC)
EAC in the framework of its endeavors for continues upgrading of the services offered to its customers proceeded with the establishment of the Islandwide Faults Reporting Center (IFRC). The aim of the IFRC is to offer our customers a full qualitative telephone response during severe faults which cause extensive interruptions of supply, so that EAC customers are adequately informed about the areas affected by the interruptions and about the time needed for their rectification.
In addition, it covers the daily routine work for the qualitative response by EAC to the daily isolate faults on the network and in consumer promises as well as on the street lighting system.
Faults reported through the Pancyprian 4-digit telephone number 1800 at IFRC are registered electronically and faults are then directed to the stand by service of the particular Area in order to be taken care of.
The EAC is continually trying to improve the telephone service quality to our customers. During 2006, IFRC received 335.000 calls out of which 91% had been dealt with. In the near future IFRC will be a big part of the EAC's Call Centre.
