5.1 Remote System Control and Energy Management

The computerized real time Remote System Control and Energy Management operated in 1997. It controls through the Energy Control Centre and the Area Control Centers, the systems for Generation, Transmission and Primary Distribution Network.

5.2 Remote Load Management System

This system is used for the management of controlled load in consumer installations (storage radiators, central air-conditioning systems, water pumps, street lighting etc) by utilizing as a telecommunications medium the Transmission and Distribution Systems.

5.3 Geographical Management System for network data in GIS environment.

The Geographical Management System for network data in GIS environment constitutes the main pillar of support for the strategic design of the Organization. The aim that daily work of technical departments, without being restricted to that alone, be carried out in a single unified simulation environment of electrical network, using operator friendly tools, in less time and safer decisions and results.

The GIS is addressed to all staff of all grades and its aim is to offer tools and application for the optimization and timely decision making on strategic issues of operational, legal, administrative and financial nature constituting a tool for design and development. In addition, a singular entry of data is sought, from the most appropriate system, through interconnection with all necessary systems of the Organization.
