Telecommunications 

In the framework of EAC’s strategic decision of involvement in Telecommunications, in 2003, two separate Agreements were signed in order to gain commercial advantage of EAC’s Optical Fibre Network and other Installations for Telecommunication purposes.

EAC has appointed Consultants who have completed the study of the telecommunications environment in Cyprus and submitted their recommendations for the strategy that EAC should adopt.

In the meantime alternative plans are examined for the provision of telecommunications services, in order EAC to become a neutral telecommunications supplier in the implementation of the National Broadband Strategy.
