Fibre Optic Network

The Authority possesses an extensive overhead and underground network of fibre optic cable. The Authority’s fibre optic system, which was installed in 2000, interconnects 21 Transmission Substations, the Power Stations and the Offices of the Authority with a view to servicing the needs of the Remote Control and Energy Management Systems, of Teleprotection of Transmission Lines, Telephony, Remote Load Management Information Technology and other services.
