Research Programmes

Research work of the Networks Business Unit in collaboration of EAC with the University of Cyprus a multilateral cooperation between the Networks Bussiness Unit and the Polytechnic School of the University of Cyprus has developed. More specifically the following subjects are under analysis and study to mutual benefit.

• Investigation of the medium voltage underground network of EAC using the “partial discharge” method.
• Systematic measurement of electrical and magnetic fields in EAC network, analysis of the results and application of competitive measures to the satisfaction of the workers and of the general public.
• Quality measurements in the EAC network aiming at the analysis and connective action.
• Influence of the Photovoltaic Energy Generation Systems in the new electricity market environment.

It is important to mention that from the above work to date originated a number of presentations/publications at conferences and in scientific publications of international acclaim.
