Research on hydrogen based distributed generation
The research project entitled Development of Distributed Generation system based on hydrogen fuel cell technology with zero CO2 emissions (H2/ΚΥΨΕΛΕΣ), was funded by the Research Promotion Foundation with 75.000 Cyprus Pounds. The research contract (Contract No: ΤΕΧΝΟ/603/03) has been signed by EAC in August 2004 for a period of 3 years (September 2004 - August 2007).

Hydrogen based distributed generation technology
The main objective of this project is the development of a hydrogen fuel cell distributed generation technology. A pilot plant will be installed and the behavior of the technology when grid connected will be investigated. The co-ordinator of the project is Dr. Andreas Poullikkas and associate scientist is Mr Ioannis Hadjipaschalis.
The project consortium is consisted of:
· Electricity Authority of Cyprus, Cyprus (Project coordinator)
. National Technical University of Athens, Greece
· Frederick Research Center, Cyprus
· HYSTORE Ltd, Cyprus
