Report a Fault – Complaint
How to report a fault or a complaint over the internet
Wishing to improve our services we have made it possible for you to forward electronically your complaint in connection with the pruning of trees (affecting overhead network) or in connection with street lighting. To report any other fault please contact, EAC’s Customer Contact Center at 1800.
If you have noticed a problem with street lighting (if for example one or more street lighting lamps are burnt, or if the cover of a lantern is open or if a certain pole or street lighting column had been hit and are dangerously inclined etc.) click on the Fault Type, complete your details in the appropriate space on the electronic application below and press the SEND button.
For better service give the correct details of the street name where the pole is situated and even better report the number of the pole on which the fault exists. The number is located 3 meters above the ground.
If the situation is indeed dangerous (e.g. damaged street lighting column with exposed cables, no street lighting in a whole area etc), please contact EAC’s Customer Contact Center at telephone number 1800.
Tree Lopping/ Pruning
If you wish to submit a complaint regarding the need for tree pruning because a certain tree touches EAC lines click on the Fault Type, complete your details in the appropriate space on the electronic application below and press the SEND button. For better service give the correct details of the street name where the tree is situated.
If the situation is indeed dangerous i.e. the lines are sparking or there is an immediate danger of a short-circuit, please call without delay the EAC’s Customer Contact Centre at telephone number 1800.
Do not await until a tree had grown such that it would create an undesirable situation. Prune your trees on time. The relevant EAC personnel is working continuously and another customer who had informed us earlier will have precedence over you.
Finally, it is your responsibility to remove the lopped branches.
