The Electricity Authority of Cyprus announces that electricity supply will be interrupted on Wednesday 12th of January 2022 between 08:00 to 18:00 and Thursday 13th of January 2022 between 08:00 to 16:00 in the following areas:
Xylotymbou, Achna Forest, Ormidia, Ormidia, Livestock, Xylotymbou Livestock, Xylotymbou Craft Area, Dhekelia Sovereign Area (SBA), EAC Refugee Camp
The interruption concerns the execution of maintenance and upgrade works of equipment that supplies the Dhekelia Desalination and Medium Voltage equipment to the Dhekelia Transmission Substation.
SINCE IT IS NOT CERTAIN THAT THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY WILL BE INTERRUPTED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE OF THE PERIOD STATED, INSTALLATIONS IN ALL PREMISES MUST BE REGARDED AS BEING “ALIVE" DURING THESE HOURS.
The Electricity Authority of Cyprus regrets any inconvenience, but this interruption is necessary for urgent work to be done on the interruption equipment of the medium voltage network and is done on the occasion of the interruption of the operation of the Dhekelia Desalination Unit which is also scheduled these days for maintenance purposes.
