Ring-fenced Energy Meters Register and Meter Reading Department

The Ring-fenced Meters Register and Meter Reading Department ensures controlled and restricted access to Distribution System Operator (DSO) meter reading/network user data. The Energy Meter Reading is executed exclusively by the specific Department that is responsible for receiving the data from the meters, entering them in the MDMS and sending the validated and verified data to all suppliers and Network Users.

In general the Ring-fenced Meter Register and Meter Reading Department manages all correspondence related to the Energy Meter Reading and the provision of energy meter data is carried out exclusively by the Department, without the involvement of any hierarchically superior, either at the Regional or Head Office Level.

It manages also customer complaints about meters and meter readings, with the support of the Network User Service and Installation Inspection Department. It is pointed out that the Installation Inspectors conducting investigations are provided with energy measurement data only for the cases assigned to them by the Engineer of the Department and have signed a Statement for the Protection of Confidential Information.

Switching of Supplier

The Ring-fenced Meter Register and Meter Reading Department, is exclusively responsible for the Switching of Supplier (Δ-ΔΔ-679), based on the Regulatory Decision No. 04/2014 and no one else is involved in it.
