Following a decision by CERA and in accordance with a government proposal, EAC is announcing a 10% reduction to the price of electricity (excluding VAT, RES and ESF charges). As per the decision by CERA, this reduction will be applied for a two-month period as follows:
For consumers who pay monthly: to their electricity bills which are calculated at the end of March 2020 and For consumers who pay every two months: to their electricity bills which are calculated from 1 April 2020.
The decision will be reviewed before the end of the two-month implementation period, based on the latest information and developments regarding COVID 19.
